FAQ: Local Tracking

1. Why is my Local Pack not showing up?

Make sure you have:
Registered a Google place and associated it with your website (if not, you can do it here: https://www.google.com/business),
In Nightwatch, you entered the exact place name in “Local Place name” in the URL's configuration.
You can do it if you select a URL in the sidebar and go to its settings. After you configure it, you can choose the Local Pack Rank column in the keywords list to display the rankings. If you are experiencing any further troubles, please write to us to [email protected] and we will help you out.

2. Can I track Google Maps?

Sure thing! Nightwatch enables you to track Google Maps. All you need to do is to change 'Google' to 'Google Places' as the search engine when adding your keywords. See more details in the Local Tracking section.

3. How can I track locally, if I have multiple locations?

To track your keywords in multiple locations, you need to add keywords for each location separately. Each keyword with different local settings counts individually since the system has to make separate queries for them.

4. What's the difference between the Local Pack Rank and Google Places?

With Local Pack Rank in Google, it'll show you rankings only if you rank in the top 3 in Local Pack. However, if you track rankings via the 'Google Places' search engine when adding your keywords, it'll show you your maps rankings beyond the top 3.
